Yet Another Zombie Survivors currently has 229 achievements on Steam. That total counts everything added up to and including Version 1.0, which launched on August 20, 2026 and turned the game from an Early Access bullet heaven into a full squad-based action roguelike with a story layer.

If you are hunting 100 percent completion, expect the list to keep you busy well beyond your first few runs: the achievements span the main story, personal Survivor quests, hidden Easter eggs and endgame challenges.

What did Version 1.0 add?

Version 1.0 added 88 new achievements in a single update, and 64 of them are story achievements tied to the narrative content that arrived with the full release — the story missions and personal Survivor quests that make up most of the 79 missions in Version 1.0.

This matters for completionists in two ways:

• A large share of the total list is now progression-gated. You cannot grind story achievements in endless runs; you unlock them by playing through the mission structure.
• Older achievement guides written before 1.0 cover fewer than two thirds of the current list. Always check that a guide was updated for Version 1.0 before following its unlock order.

How are the achievements organized?

Rather than memorizing 229 individual entries, it helps to think of the list in buckets. Based on how Version 1.0 is structured, the achievements broadly fall into these groups:

• Explore maps fully between objective markers rather than rushing the extraction. Hidden objects reward curiosity.
• Check your global achievement stats on Steam to see which entries you are missing — hidden achievements you have not unlocked still appear as hidden slots in your list.

The Curly Little Potato is a hidden Easter egg object in the game, and finding it unlocks its own achievement. What is the most efficient unlock order?

Because so much of the 1.0 list is progression-gated, the efficient route is mostly fixed:

1. Play the Main Story missions. The 15 Main Story missions carry the bulk of the 64 story achievements and push your overall progression at the same time.
2. Work through Survivor personal quests. The 45 Survivor missions feed both achievements and the Friendship system, and they teach you each of the nine Survivors’ kits along the way.
3. Recruit and level every Survivor. Some achievements will require time with specific squad members; the Survivors database tracks unlock requirements, including Ranger, who unlocks at Survival Level 175.
4. Clean up hidden achievements like the Curly Little Potato once you know the maps well.
5. Take on the endgame. Boss Rush and the 28 Torments are the natural home for the hardest remaining achievements — bring a proven squad from our best team and best builds pages.

Repeatable missions (19 of them) are your filler between these steps: they keep rewards flowing while you push Survival Level toward the unlocks you still need.
